My name’s Matt, I’m a part-time special needs teacher and artist.
Welcome to Porth Shore- the small, independent studio I've built around a lifelong love of art, the ocean and Cornwall's wild coastline.
Here you’ll find original artworks, limited edition prints, homewares and gifts. I paint original watercolour seascapes and build the frames that hold them from upcycled and driftwood timber. My surf graphics give a tongue-in-cheek nod to Cornwall's coastal culture, while my digital darkroom practice transforms my photographs into limited edition prints with a vintage aesthetic.
Everything at Porth Shore is designed and in many cases made by me. Supporting other small businesses and operating with an eco-conscious outlook is an essential part of my values. I upcycle and re-purpose materials, work with local family-run production partners, and carefully vetted print-on-demand suppliers to only print what is needed and when- reducing waste and travel miles.
